How To Be Happier Each Day

There is one small thing you can do everyday to make you a little happier immediately for the whole day.

Have you ever made a list of things you should be thankful for?

No? Then you should start writing it right now.

I am happy because I’m grateful. I choose to be grateful. That gratitude allows me to be happy.

– Will Arnett

There are so many things we take for granted and don’t appreciate, even though so many people would wish to have it. Like a roof over your head, a comfortable bed, enough food, internet, family, love, …

Every time I’m thinking about the things I’m grateful for I recognize that I should be happy everyday to have those things.

Being alive and healthy is something we shouldn’t take for granted because in that moment when you get sick you will recognize how important it is and that you should have been happy to be healthy before. That’s just like when I hurt my ankle and walking hurt for a few days, afterwards I was so happy when walking didn’t hurt. In that moment I was so happy that I was able to walk again without pain.

Are you thankful for being able to walk without pain? That you are able to walk around without being afraid to get killed?

The List of Things You Should Be Thankful For

Write down a list of things you should be grateful for. Think about all the things in your life that you shouldn’t take for granted. Think about all the things that maybe other people don’t have but wish to have.

Be also grateful for all the experiences you already had in your life or are awaiting you in the future. Including the bad ones, they are even more important than the good ones, because you can and will learn from them more.

You don’t have to write everything down because that would be a really long list.

Read it Everyday

After you finished your list with the most important things you should be grateful for, you should put it beside your bed and read it everyday before starting the day. You can enjoy a few minutes in your comfortable bed, read through your list and think about the things you’re grateful for from yesterday.

As you keep your mind and heart focused in the right direction, approaching each day with faith and gratitude, I believe you will be empowered to live life to the fullest and enjoy the abundant life He has promised you!

–  Victoria Osteen

Make it a habit to read it everyday in the morning and you will get to know a more happier life.

Gratitude is the key to a happy and fulfilling life filled with love and joy.

Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.

– Melody Beattie
