1 thing’s for sure: life is change!
This week, I was sick (and I still am a little), and for someone who loves being productive and efficient, it’s frustrating.
I have to-dos for every day, but instead I lie in front of the TV and sleep.
When the temperature lowers and autumn arrives, millions of people get sick, and it’s normal. That’s a season of life.
As frustrating as these sick days are, they are a challenge to learn a lesson again and again: resting is an important part of a human’s life.
Life’s seasons
We don’t like change because it’s uncertain.
But life is change.
There’s no doubt about it.
- we get older
- people die
- babies are born
- every year has 4 seasons
- wars begin
- wars end
Instead of fighting for a “normal, boring” life forever, we need to accept the change and embrace it. I think that makes life way easier.
The only thing we know for sure isn’t gonna change is that life is change.
I don’t want you to numb yourself and not fight against injustice. But there are some things you just can’t change.
Instead of complaining about the higher prices in the supermarket, let’s take them as a motivation to increase our income.
Instead of watching the news and being frustrated by all the negativity happening in the world, let’s turn it off and work on our projects, or let’s use it as a motivation to make a change by helping people or donating money.
I’m not watching the news anymore because it’s draining my energy hearing about people dying, wars everywhere, and what some stupid politician is saying.
I’m accepting what I can’t change, like me being sick this week, and using it to rest and binge-watch some favorite shows.
What’s the universe telling you?
I believe that when I’m sick, the universe wants to tell me something. A lesson I didn’t learn yet, or just me needing the rest at the moment.
Whatever you believe in, I believe is giving you signs to learn, grow, and not repeat the same mistakes.
What do you think this challenging season of life means for you?
Frustration is a strong emotion
The last few weeks, I was frustrated because my business wasn’t growing as much as I wanted it to, and I’m in a transition period in which I feel stuck in my 9-5 job.
I did realize (with the outside perspective of ChatGPT) that I can use this frustration as motivation and a topic for my business.
And being frustrated with my sickness is the same. What can I learn from it? How can I use it?
I know I need to take it slow, not commit to everything, and accept the limitations of my energy.
At first, the frustration incapacitated me, and I couldn’t think or focus on anything else. I was just lying in bed crying, feeling like I’m stuck in a prison.
But that prison was just in my head. My way of viewing my life was keeping me stuck.
And that’s an important realization for you too: feelings come from your perspective of life and the circumstances, not from actual, real situations.
In some cultures, a funeral is a party celebrating the life of a wonderful person. It’s a different perspective on a really emotional part of life.
YOU can change your perspective, too.
